MASCARA
MISTAKES TO AVOID
- Mascara can add a look of captivating beauty to the
eyes...so don't go messing up a good thing by committing one of these common mistakes.
- Don't pump the wand in and out of the mascara tube. Not
only will you get uneven gunks of mascara covering your wand, but you'll allow air to rush
into the bottle. This will dry out the mascara and significantly shorten its life span.
- Don't over apply. Far too many women load their eyes up
with mascara in hopes of creating lusciously thick lashes. All this achieves is a look
that is thick, smudgy, and terribly unattractive.
- Don't forget to twirl and rotate the wand as you move it
from the base of the lashes out to the tips. This is the only way to achieve even
application. Too many girls have the bad habit of just brushing out the lashes.
- Don't apply a second coat until the first one has fully
dried. If you jump the gun, you'll end up with an uneven application that will be
noticeable for all the wrong reasons.
- Don't apply a mascara that's too dark. If you've got
blonde, red, or brown hair, stick with a brown or darker brown shade. Using a dark black
color will create a look that is way too dramatic.
